On Saturday, July 14, 2018 (Dzulqaidah 1, 1439 Hegira), Daarul Quran Kalibata City International Primary School Jakarta had an important event in which parents were invited to attend a social gathering after the end of Ramadhan. It is known in Indonesia as The Halal Bil Halal. At the same time report card distribution was also done in order to allow parents to know their children’s progress report.
According to Mrs. Ekka Ubayanti Dewi, Head of the School Committee for the year 2018-2020, between the school and parents must develop an effective mutual communication. Both parents and the school plan to establish a mutual understanding through effective communication that will be conducive for the school’s progress.
The event had a positive response from parents, since it has been a long time for them not to talk openly the problem of their children with teachers. Dr. Nurfianti, Sp.PM, one of the parents, was so eager to come to school to receive her son’s report card. “This is really an interesting topic for us, especially on knowing that the school’s physical area is extended with more rooms to be used for academic purposes”, said her enthusiastically.
“This is a constructive moment for every one of us and we plan to conduct such meetings on a regular basis, so that there will be no more communication gap”, said Mr. Fatkhurrohman, S.Pd.I, the Principal, on being asked regarding the event.
On Monday, July 16, 2018 (Zulqaidah 4, 1439 H), new students of grade 1 were also invited to come to school to have the school orientation program. An introduction is given to them concerning the school’s surroundings and facilities and these students are expected to be ready for the new school year of 2018-2019.
