On Friday morning, July 19, 2019 (Zulqa’dah 16, 1440 H), almost two hundred students of Daarul Quran Kalibata City Daycare, Kindergarten and Primary School units, attended the Inauguration of the First Day School Program which was held since the beginning of July 15, 2019. Present at this special occasion were the Head of the Full day Bureau, Mr. Lalan Solahuddin, M.Ag, and the Head of Kindergarten Department, Mr. Syamsuddin, M.Ag.
Head of the School Committee, Mrs. Ekka Ubayanti Dewi and Mrs. Farida Hanum, representing parents, also attended the ceremony. Students had the opportunity to listen to the Tasmi’ (Quranic recital) by Taftazian Yahzan from grade 4. After that Mr. Fatkhurohman, SPd.I, the principal of Daarul Quran Kalibata City Primary School, emphasized the importance of studying diligently and seriously all subjects taught at school.
This is the welcoming speech by Mr. Lalan Solahuddin, M.Ag, the Head of the Full day Bureau: “Dear my students, welcome back to school. I hope you have enjoyed yourselves well in the last holiday, and prepared yourselves well for the study of the new school year.
Today is the first time for me to address you in a formal school ceremony and I would like to begin with a welcoming speech. I believe that our children are our future and our future must be bright because of the quality education that we can provide in this school. Indeed it is my honor to be the Head of Full day bureau in Daarul Quran Schools as it is truly a school glorifying Allah and the Holy Book of Quran and beneficial to the mankind.
I must first take this opportunity to give big thanks to our teachers for their devotion and contribution. They also acted as role models for you. What are the implications behind their success? What can you do for your future?
Dear my students, the Future is Now. It means that your future depends on what you attempt today. You are all Daarul Quran students and you all have great potential. So trust yourselves, dare to dream and fly towards your dreams!”
This is also the welcoming speech by Mr. Fatkhurohman, S.Pd.I, the Principal of Daarul Quran Kalibata City Primary School: “Dear my Students, welcome back to school. We all know that empty slogans resulted only in empty life. So you should have good planning. Please set clear, concrete and achievable goals for yourselves. Create concrete strategies such as setting up target marks of subjects in test or examination, seeking help from your teachers, forming study circle with your classmates and drafting your own study timetable to achieve your dream.If you have good planning, you are already on the road to success.
A healthy mindset is also essential. No matter how well you have planned, you should have the courage to accept failure. Maybe one day you fail in a test and therefore are frustrated, but never give up. Do not forget your dream and the fact that you still can have a smart choice-that is to learn from failure, to find out the key problem and then to overcome it when it occurs again.
The head of school committee, Mrs. Ekka Ubayanti Dewi, made her speech during the ceremony: “My dear children, we understood how great pressure you are facing now in this tribulation era of cyber technology, but we always stand by you. You are our utmost priority in education.
Thanks for all our teachers and school staffs and I believe with their devotion and support, you will have a very enjoyable and fruitful school life. Today is the first day we meet among parents and it is my pleasure to share with you my experience and thought. Once again, be excellent Daarul Quran students with love!”
Finally, four pigeons were released into the air as token of freedom and liberty, especially in gaining knowledge, science and teachnology, and memorizing Quran as our guidance in life.(dm-kalcit)
